Independence Day, and Garden Views

Lupine on our lawn, with delicate multiple spires.

Among our new flowers, the lupine stands tall, --
A spire that is stately, with spikes that enthrall;
Red combined with yellow, deep green and some pink,
I look, almost stare, to see if ‘twill wink!
