Friends, don't go poetless, read here the latest from Poet Les:
SUMMER TURNS TO FALL!
Summer’s now gone, soon Fall winds may blow,
Blow down the leaves, then blow up some snow;
Days full of beauty, while some may be drear,
With color that’s gorgeous, soon our leaves will appear!
Pumpkins galore – they’ll cover the ground,
For signs of Fall’s season are gathering round;
So put on your jacket, to guard from the wind, --
Oh, Summer can’t return, and Fall you can’t rescind!
Soon cornstalks and pumpkins will sate our sore eyes,
The air will feel nippy, -- to dress warmly is wise;
We’ll welcome our Fall rains, for wells they will fill,
The brooks, streams, and lakes, too, before winter’s icy chill!
The joys of the seasons were designed from above,
They come as a gift through the Father’s great love;
The Father up in Heaven knows all that we face,
He sprinkles our pathways with tuffets and lace!
So come, one and all, and sing His great praise,
With glad vistas of harmony, our voices we’ll raise;
Life’s days quickly passing, while He’s always the same,
Now I urge you, dear friends, -- call on His holy Name!
